![]()
Vital to the success of the Coast Guard Auxiliary's national boating safety effort is an informed and knowledgeable boating public. The Coast Guard and the Auxiliary believe that education is the best approach to preventing accidents. Members of the Coast Guard Auxiliary present public education classes as a service to the boating public. Please note that there are two (2) courses available. Boating Skills and Seamanship for boaters and a Boating Safety Class for a PWC (personal water craft) Boating Skills and Seamanship Safety Course covers all boating safety, legal requirements, boat handling, aids to navigation, line handling, rules of the "road". The Boating Safety Class satisfies all new requirements for operating a PWC. Upon completion of each course, certificates will be awarded which may result in a discount on your boat insurance. Materials fee will be paid to the U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary. For information on the next available class, contact Stuart Quinn, Flotilla Staff Officer Public Education
